Welcome to SAWA, the revolutionary new ride-sharing app that connects drivers with extra space in their cars with passengers who are traveling to the same destination. By using our app and services, you agree to be bound by the following terms and conditions:
Eligibility:
The app and the services are intended for use by individuals who are at least 16 years old. By using the app or the services, you represent and warrant that you are at least 16 years old.
Use of the app and services:
You agree to use the app and the services only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these terms and conditions. You agree not to use the app or the services in any way that is prohibited by any applicable law or regulation.
User accounts:
To use the services, you will need to create a user account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account information and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to notify SAWA at [email protected] immediately of any unauthorized use of your account or any other breach of security.
User Content:
The app and the services may allow you to submit, upload, publish, or otherwise make available content, including but not limited to text, photos, and videos (collectively, “User Content”). You retain all rights in, and are solely responsible for, the User Content you make available through the app and services. By making any User Content available through the app and services, you grant to SAWA a non-exclusive, transferable, sub-licensable, royalty-free, worldwide license to use, copy, modify, create derivative works based on, distribute, publicly display, publicly perform, and otherwise exploit in any manner such User Content in all formats and distribution channels now known or hereafter devised (including in connection with the services and SAWA’s business and on third-party sites and services), without further notice to or consent from you, and without the requirement of payment to you or any other person or entity.
Prohibited Content:
The app and services may not be used to upload, share, post, or otherwise make available any content that is illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, vulgar, obscene, or otherwise objectionable. This includes, but is not limited to, content that promotes or glorifies violence, hate speech, or discrimination of any kind. SAWA reserves the right to remove any content that violates these terms and conditions, and to terminate the accounts of users who repeatedly violate these terms and conditions.
One-gender ride:
The app includes a feature that allows passengers to search for and book rides only with people of the same gender for added comfort and safety.
QR code scanning:
The app includes a QR code scanning feature to ensure that drivers and passengers are matched correctly before the ride starts.
Rating system:
The app includes a rating system to ensure a good experience for all users and help to create a more trustable community.
Active chat rooms:
The app includes active chat rooms for all members of the booking or of the ride.
No financial profit:
The app doesn’t provide any financial profit for the driver except sharing the costs of the ride with other travelers.
Request and accept to join the ride:
The app include feature that allows driver to accept or reject a ride request, this ensures that only people with mutual understanding join the ride, which ensures the comfort and safety of all users.
Personal information protection:
SAWA is committed to protecting the privacy of your personal information. We will not share or disclose your personal information to any third party without your consent, except as required by law or to protect the rights of SAWA and its users.
Changes to the terms and conditions:
SAWA reserves the right to make changes to these terms and conditions at any time. Your continued use of the app and services following any changes to these terms and conditions will indicate your acceptance of the new terms and conditions. SAWA will inform all users in case of any changes in its terms and conditions.
Disclaimer of Warranties:
SAWA provides the app and services on an “as is” and “as available” basis. SAWA makes no representations or warranties of any kind, express or implied, as to the operation of the app or services or the information, content, materials, or products included on the app or services.
Limitation of Liability:
SAWA shall not be liable for any damages of any kind arising from the use of the app or services, including but not limited to direct, indirect, incidental, punitive, and consequential damages.
Governing Law:
These terms and conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Egypt, without giving effect to any principles of conflicts of law.
Indemnification:
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold SAWA, its affiliates, officers, agents, and other partners and employees, harmless from any loss, liability, claim, or demand, including reasonable attorneys’ fees, made by any third party due to or arising out of your use of the app and services, including any User Content that you post, upload, or otherwise make available through the app and services.
Dispute Resolution:
Any dispute or claim arising out of or relating to these terms and conditions or the app and services, shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the Egyptian Arbitration Law and the rules of the Egyptian Centre for Commercial Arbitration.

Trip cancellation policy:
If a driver cancels a ride, SAWA will refund the full amount to the passengers who had booked the ride. If a passenger cancels a ride, SAWA will refund the amount to the passenger according to the cancellation policy agreed upon by the driver.
Insurance:
SAWA recommends all drivers to have a valid car insurance. SAWA does not provide any insurance for the rides, it is the driver’s responsibility to have a valid insurance that covers any possible damages that may occur during the ride.
Responsibility for the vehicle:
The driver is responsible for the vehicle during the ride, and any damage or loss of the vehicle will be the driver’s responsibility.
Compliance with laws and regulations:
All users of the app and services must comply with the laws and regulations of Egypt. SAWA is not responsible for any violations of laws and regulations by the users.
Compliance with Road Safety:
All users of the app and services must comply with the road safety rules and regulations of Egypt. SAWA is not responsible for any violations of road safety rules and regulations by the users.
Feedback and complaints:
SAWA encourages users to provide feedback and report any complaints through the app or by emailing [email protected]. SAWA will investigate and respond to all feedback and complaints in a timely manner.
Termination:
SAWA reserves the right to terminate or suspend your use of the app and services at any time, with or without notice, for any reason or no reason at all.
Intellectual Property:
SAWA owns all rights, title, and interest in the app and services, including all intellectual property rights. You may not use any of SAWA’s trademarks, logos, or other proprietary information without SAWA’s express written consent.
Entire Agreement:
These terms and conditions constitute the entire agreement between you and SAWA regarding the use of the app and services. These terms and conditions supersede all prior agreements or understandings, whether written or oral.
By using the SAWA app and services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood and agree to be bound by these terms and conditions. If you do not agree to these terms and conditions, please do not use the app or services.
